California becomes the first state to launch a tool to monitor and track artificial intelligence’s impacts on the workforce

As part of Governor Newsom’s executive order on artificial intelligence (AI) and the workforce, California today introduced a first-in-the-nation online tracking tool to monitor and detect AI-related job loss.

California leads the nation in job creation

As national job growth slowed during President Trump’s second term, California continued to lead the nation in job creation, adding approximately 131,534 jobs over the past year, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data. That total was the highest of any other state, while job growth nationwide has stagnated during the same time period.

Employment Training Panel awards funding to 14 organizations to help immigrants and refugees start or maintain small businesses and cooperatives

The Employment Training Panel’s Social Entrepreneurs for Economic Development (SEED) Program empowers immigrants and refugees who aspire to start or grow a small business in California. Through trusted community organizations, SEED provides funding, training, and individualized support to help participants overcome barriers such as limited English proficiency and other challenges that can make securing employment difficult.
